A stunning portrait lens (as are all the 85mm Nikon primes, be they AF or MF). Nice bokeh wide open and generally no softness. Slight varience from lens to lens in the AFn-D version.
The older f2 AIS version is smaller and lighter and is my preferred lens in this focal length when I don't want to be obtrusive.

hi,
I haf this lens in my possession. A very good lens with very clear and fine quality. Very bright lens at 1.8 and allows the focusing to be superb fast too. its worth to get if you are getting for portraits shot check out this pic i took ..... www.pbase.com/ziyter/portraits the pic of the wedding couple is taken with the lens. |
