Been seeing some posts from our BP of late and thought should drop by.
As usual by myfavourite Jungle jewels walkin aviary today. Quite pleasantly rewarded by two species (Oops, temporarily forgot their names) Well, it's always the combination of luck and observations that made my pics. The first shot was frame against a backlit banana leave, thus the vibrant yellow-green BG. The second shot was frame against some distance tree. Thanks to the focal length and close focusing, the BGs are rendered beautifully OOF. ![]() ![]() So next time if you go to the BP, make sure u pay them a visit, cause u may be in for a treat. To reiterate, the BP is definitely a very good starting place for aspiring birders. It allows you to horn your skills at your own pace and discover your own style. Take the opportunity to learn your exposure (this is important!). So if someone tells u the BP is a boring place, u know better! Don't just sit there move that butt. ![]() |

First birdie is a male Violaceous Euphonia (Euphonia violacea)
Second birdie is a female Purple Honeycreeper (Cyanerpes caeruleus) Its nice that you appreciate Jungle Jewels aviary. Many folks tend to overlook it because the birds in there are really tiny and hard to spot. But patience will be duly rewarded |
