Somehow, your pics have a nice 'feel' to it....and for #2, the exposure on the whites was captured very well...its not blown and can even see the issues texture....

Are these shot with reverse lens? Interesting composition you have... DOF is shallow. I guess this is your style of shooting

Last shot seems to have a greenish tint to it...

thanks guys the butterfly is a surprise catch, noticed it just before ending the short session just now at my block.

melvyn: yup was using the 50mm, but #3 was shot directly without reversing as the butterfly was really large, subject was in shade and i open the aperture pretty wide (f2.2) to shoot without the flash (actually got abit of fill in flash lah) #5 was shot with the reversed lens, both resized without crop, can imagine how big it is! the greenish tint is due to reflection of the flashlight off the leaves

ortega: yah ... time to look for some nice 'bokehed' background
