Anyone know where to buy studi backdrops?

I posted an earlier thread about this a while ago and got many replies suggesting Ruby and Eastgear. Well, both stores still out of stock on the backdrops and support systems. I need more suggestions if they're anymore out there.

Need a 12ft backdrop, in black and white, along with 2 stands and a boom. would be nice if it all came in a carrying case.

Any tips appreciated.

I tot CP still has stock? I guess the supports could fit into the bag, but a 12ft backdrop? Unless its muslin/cloth.

I try not to buy from CP as they tend to overprice just about everything they sell. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I don’t think anyone else will sell you this kind canvas, muslin, and collapsible backdrop, beside Cathy, Ruby and EastGear in Singapore.

These things are so low in demand some of the stocks have been lying in their warehouse for many years. That’s why they no more new stock will come in except you place an order with them.

I checked a respond of pooling an order for muslin backdrop a few months back, even is very much cheaper buying backdrop from oversea, also don’t have a single order.

So if you really interested buying from local, place an order thru them, or else have to mail order from oversea.

It looks like I might have to go that route. Shipping will cost quite a bit since the stands can be quite bulky and heavy. I usually deal with a photo store in Los Angeles and they quoted a reasonable US$200 for it. I might have to pick up a set on my next trip there.

Nope, they don't have it.. i asked Steven and Chris of CP already.. they say cannot sell due to low demand...

someone was doing a MO for the backdrops a few days back.. i think terence also ordered one.. i was going to order but seems like that thread disappeared into thin air...

wa...times so bad ar...i always get the paper kind from CP cause the colors look much better than the rest(the brand is like Savage or something like tat)......u got try Ruby or not? anyway i remember Ruby has a different brand..
