Default What's macro lens and normal lens

What difference?

let's say i got 1 af 18-70 mm(standard nikon d70s lens), i see people macro settings 50mm,i can use my standard lens and do macro shots?

No. macro shots are those that do 1:1 reproduction or close to 1:1. and macro lens have a closer min focussing range than regular lens. you can be at the same focal length but the pics will not turn out the same. subject would be bigger in the pic taken with the macro lens.
