Default DIY eyepiece magnifier for D100(D70 too?)

http://www3.plala.or.jp/s291page/pho...e/d100eye.html

Any one up to it? According to dpreview, dk-17m is a full frame 1.2x magnifier

In short, The DK-17M is a 1.2x magnifier for the D1/2 pro series but using a bit of filing/gluing and a DK19 eye cap, it is possible to get one of these on the D100/D70 and possibly the S2. Im kinda fond of the larger VF on my pentax body so if it is possible to do get one for the S2, im quite interested.

S2 has a poor viewfinder, not very good for me(old eyes) n my manual focusing.

very attracted to what this could offer! but since its for the D1/D2 series, i'm expecting to pay quite a bit for it.
goin to CP and enquire later.

If they have and can let u try, someone posted that u can use

Nikon 2370 (it has no ""DK" number) for D70 clip on to the small threaded finder.
Nikon DK-13 from the small threads of the 2370 to the large threads of the DK-17M.

to mount to the D70. No machining needed but got chance of vignetting

count me in for 1, if it works, the D70 VF is too small for my old eyes.

saddening.

CP has not stock of DK17M. i was quoted a price of around S$70/. with reassurances that 'new stocks will be coming in soon'.

S$70++ that is excluding the price of a DK19(no idea of price).. hmm...

It`s about 55 a piece. The CP folks are really marking it up.

i believe a lsight modification is required.

anyway, if there's an m.o, it would be ideal to include DK19 too. this is likely a difficult accessory to get.
