i like the warm, saturated colours. are you very close to the bird when you took this shot?

I was sitting in my vehicle minding my business, when he decided to walk right up to me! It was prob ~4m away.

Hope you don't mind. I do not find the bird to stand out from the background. Maybe it is the color.

Precisely in some suroundings such as this one, which not only makes it hard to spot the bird, capturing them in it's natural state is also not easy, and in order to seperate it from the background, is probably only possible if the background is further away, or shot taken from a different angle, anyway it looks fine and exposure spot on.

Love the light and the colors on this one.

Cheah, the more I look at all your bird shots, the more tempting the 600 mm looks. But this might be taken with the 100-400 right?
