    Ahhh... keeping for the sake of keeping, that's for the collectors. For those type you need $$$$$$$$ and you only want the really specific mint pieces. For the users, if you have specific needs for the specific bodies resulting in needing the various bodies then that's another reason for the multitude of bodies (in most cases, you are not paying for the bodies or you've already made back the cost for them).

    For the average Joe Bloke wanting the take pictures as the hobby, all you really need are the two bodies to load with say colour slides and B&W. Okay, maybe plus the small compact digital as a handy snapper.

    PS: The phrase "Equipment Measurbator" was coined by the infamous Ken Rockwell on his site here...

    How many cameras I got? Ok, let me count..... 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20 ,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35,36,3 7,38,39,40,41,42,43,44,45...still counting.....46,47,48,49,50,51,52,53,54,55,56,57,5 8,59,60...... I am nearly there....61,62,63,64,65,66,67,68,69,70,71,72,73,74 ,75,76,77,78,79,80 and other uncounted cameras.

    I shall not elaborate what I have for fear of stalking/burgarly but 80 plus cameras is the correct, if not, understated figure!

    I live in Sentosa if that's what you want to know

    I look like such an amateur beside all of you... (Wait. I am one. Doh.)

    I only own... 2 cameras.
    1. Dummy-proof digital camera, Samsung. (I like the orange colour. )
    2. My pride and joy (and a big chunk of my bank account. Ouch.) Canon EOS66 + Sigma 28-80mm lens. (lens can also be converted to a macro lens by the touch of a lever)

    *sigh* thinking of the telephoto lens I have to starve myself to buy......

    lol I used to have a camera that could see 5km and uses a joystick MF...

    Hmmm......does it really matter?

    I think its the photos he takes and not the equipment he owns that makes a photographer.

    I've been to too many clubs that are so interested in knowing and comparing equipment that they loose sight of the reason for joining a photography club.

    And that is to join a group of like-minded people who enjoy taking photographs to share and learn from each others experiences. I just hope we as photographers do not loose sight of this reason for dabbling in the art of photography.

    Sorry for being a pessimist.

    Default it's about how ya use not what ya use then

    2 cam, & a bunch of compact (don't know who bought them anyway)....

    I guess no one's wrong,
    there's sense in anything everything,
    some like it, some just loathe it,

    so it's really 1 man's meat is another man's poison.
    of coz there're those who chew on both.

    I believe it's not what ya use but rather on how ya use it,
    then again I have to admit I do like to "compare" stuff, but not to extreme,

    (so point is), let's live with it,
    with so many different kinds of people with different view,
    that's what makest this world an interesting one.

    ( I love compact, if ya asked)

    anyway, I'm using FM2n, X-300 & LC-A
