Default Quality of our life. Not political talk!

it has nothing to do with politics. we are not interested in politics at all! We are more interested in our way of life and how well we can live it. Who cares about politics? it does not matter whether ah lee, ah kow, or ah meow is running the country, as long as our quality of life is not jeopardized.

You can talk about quality of life all you want. But once politics is mentioned, then it is off limits here in ClubSNAP.

How can you ensure quality of life without politics?

yes agree, it is somehow linked.
but my point is we are just merely expressing our concerns about our quality of life here in KPT, we are talking about the effect of politics on our way of life. Not politics itself!

We are not against any party for the sake of interest of the other. [this is political]

We are just merely stating our concerns of the adverse effect political policies on our quality of life. [ THIS IS NOT POLITICAL! IMO]

Then go ahead and state your points. Melbourne has just being ranked first in the list of Most Liveable Cities":

There are 4 Aussie cities among the top 10. So it's not only something about Melbourne alone.

One very important point raised in the article is the low population density.

Rules are rules. As long as it touches politics it is Political talk. You are welcome to take your political discussions elsewhere. Your opinion is yours alone.

So what are the key characteristics of a good standard of living to you?

Do you agree with the Economist's rankings? What is a good place to live in?

I'm sure it doesn't just consist of "low population density". If that's the case, maybe you can consider moving to Pulau Ubin.

Well, he can chase wild boars.. Cycle... Relax.

What do you do in Melbourne for a pastime? Log onto CS and chit-chat? Then anywhere with an Internet connection will suffice. Even 56K, just that you might take a while to load P&P pictures if that's your thing.

A comment touching on this issue, will be deemed political to some and can be justified in any way possible to be non-political to some. Rules are rules and it is clearly stated. Just so we don't have any ambiguity, once it touch politics, its off-limit. You can state your concerns in many other places, Kopitiam doesn't mean you can talk about anything you want. There are so many places to discuss your political views. Find the right place and company to discuss them.

Tokyo is #18, Berlin is #21 - what's your point? Can you summarize your statement into something conclusive, straight? In which way do you feel that Singapore is not a liveable city to you? Get to the point please.
