Default Need help with itinerary for Tokyo.

I'll be going to Tokyo for a short, free and easy trip. Any suggestions of good places to go in Tokyo and its surrounding area? Is there any romantic spots there?

    Thank you, thank you!!

Go to Akihabara and fall in love with the Japanese models (Camera) there. Then go shoot some wildlife at Harajuku on a Sunday. Go shopping at Shinjuku and go pubbing/clubbing at Ropponggi. Romance your new friends from Ropponggi with a nice dinner at Ginza and after that, go to the Tokyo tower.

    Cheers,

how long will you be there for?basically all the main areas have been said by them, you can split the city into like 3 main areas to explore.

East side (around Tokyo Station): Ginza, Akihabara, Asakusa, Imperial Palace as well as Yasukuni Shrine.

West side( around Shinjuku station): Shinjuku, harajuku, Meiji Temple, Shibuya and Yoyogi Park.

South side (closer to the bay area: Roppongi, Tokyo Towers, Diet hall and Odaiba.

    How long is your trip?

The places mentioned are good. But for some ppl photo opportunity,
Some where near Harajuku, outside Meiji Shrine (or Meiji Temple), you can spot many japanese teens doing cos play every weekend, it might be a good chance to check it out. The cos play standard are quite good actually.

And to share with all cs members, here a good website for tour information:

    Forget about lonelyplanet

    http://www.virtualtourist.com/

This site provides good unbias view for places and country you plan to visit around the world.

For romantic spot, maybe you can try Ueno park or the Palace garden.

consider planning a day trip (by train) to Hakone for a view of Mt Fuji; make that a sleepover if you want to catch the sunset/sunrise.

Take a couple of days to stay over at Hakone.

I would HIGHLY recommend this place:

The hot spring is the best in Japan, and you can book it for a private session.
The room has a heater grill under the table, so you can toast your toes.
