the colours of the fireworks are striking, however i think you could have tried a longer exposure with corresponding reduction in aperture and/or iso, which should be long enough to capture several bursts of fireworks and when the bursts were at their peak. including some of the background will also provide an alternative viewpoint of the fireworks which give it context as well as a sense of scale.
