Default How to get non-smoky fireworks shots?

My shots went up in smoke (literally) for Saturday's Final Rehearsal for NDP. Shots were marred by lots of smoke.

Newbie first time taking fireworks. Pls advice.

    thanks!

Shoot at the beginning few rounds of fireworks when the sky is still "clean", then after a few rounds, when there is too much smoke in the black sky (u can see easily) then stop and take a break.

    smoke accumulates after a while.

the 1st few bursts should be less smoky.

after that, if there's no wind, it will fog anyone's view.
if there's wind, as espn says, hope it blows the smoke out of your view.
