DISCLAIMER: The following may not sound pleasant.

Not to be discouraging, but most of the photos are merely snapshots to me... you see, the Great Wall has been seen so many times in so many places. I would like to see something different, perhaps from a different perspective.

On the bright side, I like this one:

And I enjoyed the signboard that proves there some terrible English translators out "there".

u got some good shots there, seem the weather does not make any easier.
Some shots too much fog, no fault of yours.
Some pics are overwhelm by the fog, 20-30% of the pic.

Personally, I think u've not spent enough time in this great wall to get good shots. If U had climbed higher to the last fort and come down from another route, u'll be able to get some good yet direct view of the wall's picture

of course to begin with, this section of the Great Wall - Juyongguan is not a good place for photography. It's too artificial and it's lack of the majestic feel of the great wall.
then u've a very "unique" weather to tackle.
though difficult for photography, still u could used the situation
to the fullest to create some mood shots.

I don't like the steps shot. they don't tell me anything. although some have nice contrast. still... it's juz snap shots.

I'm not sure if U are aware, there are some meanings behind thel ocks. your lock shots is too "focus" to bring across the meaning. The people picts could have been more bold and close up. that should helps. I feel u are juz hiding and happily snapping only.

Infact, I like your 1st pict . maybe try using a PL or gradual ND filter. that will help bring out contrast for the scene better

my 2cents worth

I quite like some of the shots. think the fog brings out the 冷清ness (solitude) of the greatwall. I was there last mth too, ask me how many shots i took, haha 5, but all crap! so his turn out quite well.

Hi all,

No problem...

I am happy to accept any comment.. good or bad...

Too me, this is just a snap shots and some memory while my travel there... I was not there trying to do any art work...

I am not a big fan for travel photography and you can tell, it reflects from my photography.. mainly snap shots.

Those pictures are more or less subjective images which mean something to me and might not mean anything to anyone else...

Just for sharing...

My english is not that good too... but sometime it is funny to read those "English" signpost in China.
