Me too. I went for the fireworks yesterday also, my pics very.. i'm using Sony cybershot dsc t1

is a very nice series... in term of exposure and color... if there is no crop for the firework it might be better. I presumed that u shot @ shears bridge using the 18-70 lens rite??? might need wider 12-24 hehehe... BUY BUY BUY...

haha i been for that lens liao , use before as one of the kind bro here lend me and i must say that lens is , no BUY BUY BUY is SAVE SAVE SAVE

i would think shutter speed of not more then 1" will capture most nice shots , too long the firework will be very blur thus will need USM .. i seriously need firework guru to further enlighten me . Join us the next time and we can share tips together , the more people shoot the happier LOL
