Default People exercising in Infra Red

Just thought of sharing this pix of people at the Botanics Gardens.

Picture taken with a Canon G1, last wednesday. Cam was handheld and not Photoshopped.

Hope you all like it.

Cheers

it doesn't do anything for me.
I don't know what is this picture all about.
the people are too small and basically it looks more like those snap shots with a camera phone.

The G1 is quite sensitive to IR and you can even compose your shots on the LCD screen and not shoot blindly like with other newer digicams and DSLRs. But you really should post-process away the red colour cast to either B&W or coloured IR with whitish foliage. Most of the IR shooters here generally like IR pics that exhibit the Woods Effect ie whitish foliage. This pic of yours actually responded very well to post-processing and you could also get a nice blue sky with channel swapping.

Another step you should not omit with your G1 is to carry out a custom white balance with the R72 on to help eliminate the bulk of the red colour cast in your IR pics. This would help you greatly in subsequent post-processing work.

Keeping taking more IR pics. Practice makes perfect.

Like tomcat said, preset your white balance with the filter.

Then do some post processing to get the foliage white. This is generally the effect of IR.

Everybody has to start somewhere, keep shooting and post. Ask and the guys here will help you along.
