Default My first underwater pics (Redang)

Hello all, just came back from Redang. First time I'm bringing my A70 underwater, got my casing 2nd hand from one of our fellow members. (Thanks D!) Anyway, would appreciate tips and comments. Realised underwater shooting is tougher than land shots... ack. No strobe so there's some backscatter and lighting is a little off.

Thanks. Was just wondering any particular technique you guys use to take the photos when you can't prone? Do you position yourself against the current, fin once or twice, hover and take the shot when you are about stationary?

Hmm this is a tricky one..... I guess the trick is to glide in, enter into the current in an angle and let it "push" you into position...

But for the lazy me, i'd just give up and shoot something else.

well.... i always carry with me a knife, a reef hook , an anchor and a buddy......

the knife is to pin the buddy down into the ground so he can't float away and get lost ...

the reef hook is hooked on the anchor so i don' destroy the delicate corals .....

Hey you forgot the spear-gun; if your buddy drift's too far off, spear him back...
