Hi,

Not sure about the rest of the items, but just across CP (Peninsula) at Fotoguide, you can get the Nikon SB-80DX at around $530 which is inclusive of GST. The MB-15 is a little more than $300 at Fotoguide. Factoring in the fact that it's inclusive of GST, the price will probably be around the same as in CP, if not slightly lesser.

Yeah, the e-quote is not always the cheapest price. A rough estimate would to take the price as it is. Meaning don't include the GST. I got the SB-80DX at $530(nett) from CP and i was quoted $2k(nett) from the salesman for the F100 as well.

Perhaps you know the guys at CP well. It seems that they have always quoted me prices that are way above the e-quote prices. (And I don't suppose that I look like a tourist or some big fat carrot ) Anyway, I have asked for an e-quote for the F100 a couple of times before. Strangely enough, most of the time I was quoted $2000 but was quoted once at $1900.

Hmmm.......... I received an e-quote from Cathay on 17th Sept. The F100 was $2050. Think it depends on who reply the mail maybe.

Nitro, how? Decided yet?

Dunno man!!! tried the F100. loved it!! but no chance to try the F5 yet. But like you said, more satisfaction getting brand new cam then a used one. Sigh..... will continue using the F80 for the time being (actually i like the F80; the only thing is the flash sync speed 1/125 vs 1/250 for the F100 and the 1/2 stop instead of 1/3 stop compensation) and that will buy me more time to think about it.
