Default grainy photos

Hi,

need some advice here, was taking some photos on fuji color flim ISO400.

Some of the pictures turned out rather grainy and sometimes slightly greenish while the others are fine.

Could this be due to incorrect exposure? excessive exposure?

It could well be. Colour negative film really falls apart on underexposure - overexposure is usually not so much a problem. (The film has a wide exposure latitude, but sensitivity ratings are typically based on the minimum necessary exposure, not on the "centre" of the usable exposure range.)
