    1. Why not?
    2. How do you tell people you are good without letting them see your works? This is a VISUAL/subjective type of work whereas the rest like marketing, sales, engineering, IT, etc are more "absolute". You don't expect to write a 1000 line program in front your hirer if you are applying to be a programmer, do you?
    3. If you have a day job, possibly.
    4. Is this so important? What difference does it make if you labelled someone "senior member", "junior member" etc vs labelling all as "members"? In fact, with the former, some idiots might even "pull rank", so why have the system?

    Regards
    CK

    1) Just curious, will you get someone who use D70 for your own wedding?

why not? its not the equipment but the person behind the camera

    2) Why becoming professional photographer so difficult? Need a portfolio while other job got cert can already.

other jobs also need to go thru interviews

    3) Is doing freelance wedding photography considered as MOONLIGHTING?

not unless ur other job's contract states it

    4) There is no rank in Clubsnap? compare to HWZ...

    why do we need rank?

    my try:

    1) i will not - if i work for Canon or Oly

    2) not all jobs got cert can oredi - a lots of jobs also require you to have your own portfolio or expect to grow your portfolio/find clients and etc.

    1) Just curious, will you get someone who use D70 for your own wedding?

Why not, it is the images that count. If the photographer can create beautiful images with a P&S also can

    2) Why becoming professional photographer so difficult? Need a portfolio while other job got cert can already.

If no portfolio then how are you going to show people what you can do, also look at answer of 1

    3) Is doing freelance wedding photography considered as MOONLIGHTING?

Nowadays it is considered as upgrading yourself with another skill, unless of course, you are already working as a wedding photographer.

    4) There is no rank in Clubsnap? compare to HWZ...

Rank? What for? Need to boost ego... post some fantastic shots

    1) Just curious, will you get someone who use D70 for your own wedding? - you can state in your pre-requisites of your wedding photographer to use a D2x (or equivalent) with 17-35f2.8, 28-70f2.8, and 70-200f2.8. but your question was would i? see answer to question 2...

    2) Why becoming professional photographer so difficult? Need a portfolio while other job got cert can already. - it's not about the certs or the equipement you have, but the photographer's ability to tell a story, show the product, or capture the moments in a photo which are important to the client.

    3) Is doing freelance wedding photography considered as MOONLIGHTING? - to me, moonlighting is working another job (often at night), in addition to one's full-time job... so is freelancing = moonlighting? not nec.

    4) There is no rank in Clubsnap? compare to HWZ... - actually, there are some ranks already existing in CS - Admin, Moderaters, (Idol), Members, New Member. the first 2 are nec. hierarchy in administrating the forum, maintaining servers, keeping the peace, etc. as for the rest of the citizens in CS, there are also already first and second class citizens. e.g. New members cannot start certain threads, whereas Members can. But i think that this is a deliberate feature instituted to prevent misuse of the the free membership. enough already, no need for first class, second upper, second lower, pass (with merit), pass, etc...

Yes unless its magically apparated by the photographer then I'd rather not have photos talking back to me.

Because posting these questions don't make me look very professional and clubsnap doesn't hand out certificates so no choice, I need portfolio.

Halfway true. Photo is a term from greek that means light. The moon was probably added by someone as bored as me but I cannot verify if this is true. Moon also means luna, the root word for lunacy or lunatic. Not sure how it fits in but might be worth to mention.
