Default AUDI CAR REPAIR AT NISSAN WORKSHOP

A lady met with an accident and sent her Audi car to the Audi workshop for repair. After 3 months the car was not ready.

She visited the workshop and later discovered that her car was in a Nissan workshop.

Sent to Nissan for repair and bill Audi cost of repair??????

Would we be examining this if a Nissan was sent to Audi instead?

    Good question.

Do you think Audi gives a better service?

Never owned an Audi. Dunno. Do you think Nissan will give inferior services?

The questions won't be the quality of work, but how much will the charges be, what's the reason for the delay and why it's being repaired in the wrong place..

Wonder if a Geely workshop can repair a Ferrari or not.

I always have the impression that the cars' agents give better service for their own brands.

Dealer sent car to another workshop

I WAS in a car accident on April 2 and immediately sent my car to the Audi workshop for repair.

After almost three months, I was told it is still not ready.

My husband decided to visit the Audi workshop in Ubi to take a look at the repairs himself.

After much insistence, he was finally led to the car workshop.

To his horror, my car was actually being repaired at a Nissan workshop.

Without knowing the specifics of this incident, it sounds like they might have subcontracted out some repairs that can be handled by other workshops, e.g., perhaps their own workshop had a particularly heavy caseload. Audi will still have to be responsible for any subcontracted work that was done, so I'd expect them to check and ensure it's up to their own QC as well, as well as provide any necessary genuine spare parts. However, given that they make claims like "We service our cars as we engineer them", its expected that their customers have high expectations. Wonder where their 'spirit of Vorsprung' is after they read this lady's letter.

At Audi, when it comes to service, we set the highest standards to delight our customers. Our spirit of Vorsprung means that, "We service our cars as we engineer them: with a passion for precision, quality and efficiency." It's a promise we've been delivering for the last 100 years. And the inspiration for our most progressive customer service centre yet comes from you — our customers. To achieve this, we listened to your feedback. Because at Audi, service is not an afterthought. Visit our new customer service centre today and experience luxury in a new light.

I'd be surprised too, if I sent my camera to Nikon Service Centre and realised they sent it to Canon. But perhaps for the owners of this car, they feel more like 'Insert premium camera brand' owners who had their camera sent to the workshop of a mainstream brand.

Ha ha... not an accurate example. I wouldn't mind if this example happens. Those 2 brands Nikon n Canon are competing each other toe to toe. What one brand has, the other will come up with similar thing and improve it a bit, and vice versa. So, I think they shd be considered equals. While Audi and Nissan is a bit too different in class.

If you refer to "Premium Brand" Camera, the only things that come into my mind was Leica and those medium format which price way beyond my wildest dream.

Volkswagen (incl. Audi) is very busy replacing their

VW/Audi's superb 7-speed DSG is giving them an infamous reputation. Wonderful engineering.

Maybe Audi has found a wonderful solution to their gearbox problem, put in a Nissan transmission.

Audi is nothing but a glorified VW. and overseas, a VW is just like toyota or nissan. I dont know why singaporeans get so high on audi or vw.
