when're you coming down? anyway, to get an indication of prices then, do an equote at www.cathayphoto.com.sg
The response time is around 1 day to 1 week. |

I'm looking at coming around November or so. I'm trying to submit an e-quote request from Cathay Photo but the website seems to take forever to register after I hit the "submit" button.
Also, I may going to the US as well. Do you think I should make my purchase in Singapore or the US from a cost perspective ? thanks ! senhwei |

G3 isn't out yet.. 5700 no stock for now, usually it's at S$1600.

No stock for the 5700 in Singapore now...but expect to pay around S$1600 for it. I usually get my Nikon stuff from James Koh at Lords Cameras at Lucky Plaza #01-79. He boast of the cheapest prices as he deals with Nikon in bulk. Remember, always buy at a price u are comfortable...
Wld not suggest buying a DC in US as the taxes there are higher plus warranty issues... |

guys -
I'm really leaning towards the Sony F717 at the moment. Any Sony sales on at the moment ? The only bummer is memory stick ! Don't like to invest in a proprietary format and it's more expensive than compact flash. senhwei |

Ever considered the Minolta 7HI recently launched? Very good DC too and price wise is similar to the 5700. I had a trial the other day and it was lovely to handle/use. It has some functions that the 5700 did not have and uses CF card too!
