According to my friend who actually started queueing outside Borders since 11pm and finished the book within the weekend, not only Snape is the HBP but also the traitor who killed Dumbledore.

Sala, I think I said too much...

My friends and I are guessing that Rowling is writing herself to a corner, that's why she needs to start "killing off" her characters.

There are also talks that she may continue to write HP after the 7th book - stories about how life after Hogwarts. Wah lau, like that, she really risks of losing the HP appeal. But the $$$, so attractive, I won't be surprise if there are more books to come after the 7th.

She can always continue with Harry Potter Z....

or better still, make all the other characters from her other books (if any) into the story... Harry Potter vs Super Saiyan Jins...

About Horcruxes, has anyone wondered if HP is actually one of the 7 Horcruxes? Since i recall reading that "Voldemort transferred part of him into HP before he disappered when he failed to kill HP when he was a baby"

The Scholastic version will hit shops here on 16th August.

    SPOILERS AHEAD!

I was at Kinokuniya yesterday and saw the books all nicely stacked up at the exit. I flipped to the last few chapters and found out Rowling killed off Dumbledore in this book.

Any Harry Potter fans surprised by this news?

Worse come to worst, can always write a prequel series, like Star Wars. She can always talk about the romances of HP's parents, uncles and aunties, etc.
