Default Manado - ok, think i can start one or two pics now... :)

did some re-calibration on my monitor (after lots of comments on colour off etc)

please tell me if it looks more ooooookkk now ... i cant be asking for perfection... just reasonablenes....

especially hampered by the fact that i cant change my graphic card... motherboard too old... personal technician says no slot at all ...

i agree. but she wants to protect her pics so i guess this is one way. but if we were to post 640X480, i doubt the pics have any real use given the low res. besides, they can't leech these pics to sggirls.

Ivy, the strobe is blowing out all the whites in the pics. No diffuser?

I like the first pic, it looks like a shot craig took in another forum.. it would have been better if you were using back lighting or dual side lighting. you'll be illuminating the insides.

trying to do a better one ... following the photoshop cs book as closely as i can ... heee..

though not very likely that people will want to use my pictures, i thought that it is a good practice to use watermark instead

Banggai Cardinal Fish - not a fantastic pic, but noticed no one post pics of this from Lembeh, when this should be one of the unique sightings from other dive places.... so just post one lo

Take A Bow - forgot the name of this little fella, will post the name later when i remember

Why the shadow is toward the front? Very strange strobe placement.

My preference for shooting fishes and nudi is to at least at eye level if possible. That may be the reasons why you have shadow toward the front.

the cardinal fish one is strobe on the left, the shadow is more to the right, not the front...

as for the nudi, i was using strobe top down ... and since the little fella was kinda upright and towards the camera, so the shadow cast is in front... i would have liked it otherwise, of course

hey, don't be like that leh .... it is good that we are sharing our images, that is what photography is all about. So, don't worry about standard. All of us will improve. The more u take, the betterer u will be. HAve u seen Paul Tan's images ? He has improved alot & I have enjoyed looking at his dive trip images. ... btw, most of my images are from slides - proviaF & velvia on F90X with Nexus housing & YS120. So, no worries, keep trying ...
