    Default Prince?

    1. In what area is critique to be sought?
Completely experimental, I want to know what is the response to an image like this.

    2. What one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
It was a direct response to the series by a young british artist, Gillian Carnegie, and her paintings of 'prince' I was completely captivated by the Turner nominee's paintings for banal scenes, and wanted to use the medium of photography to capture what I saw immediately after. It is titled the same, with a question mark at the end, turning and completely changing the meaning. rather simplistic, I know, but like i say, it remains experimental .

    3. Under what circumstance is the picture taken?
It was a response, and the light, shadow and tones were stunning, and I wanted as closely as possible to recreate the simple yet complex scene.

    4. What the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture.
I find it sombre, muted, yet with an air of anticipation, the lights seem to want to turn up to reveal something yet the static state of the image tries otherwise.

    Default Re: Prince?

I am struck by this stark, cold and uninviting image.

What's hiding behind the shadows, behind the panel, under the stairs?
Where does the stair lead to, what will i encounter?

The scene is so still. There is no where for me to go or want to go.

This image is so different from the painter's Prince , brighter and more cheerful, the cat is inviting, playful , curious ?

    i am stuck!

What made you come up with this image?
