Let me guess... The main subject (smiling boy) is looking
at the blur one?? Fr my view, both blur boys (left & right)
distract my eyes! Anyway, good expression.

A very candid shot, seems that the boy did not notice the photographer at all. Very natural potrait.

The 2 boys in the foreground (blurred) are quite distracting. They should be cropped off.

  1. A tighter crop of the OOF boy on the left may make draw less attention from the subject. A little bit of the blurred boys should still be left to frame the subject.
  2. I like the candid expression of the subject. Good try!

agree with all of the above,
1 thing to add is the background must also be taken into consideration
good moment but let down by the situation.

try again, maybe from a different angle/viewpoint

LolliPoP, ccube78, Ah Pao and ortega,

thanks for the inputs, really set me to rethink about is shot.

at first I thought, OOF subjects will bring out the main subject. I guess this don't work

OOF subject does bring out the main subject but that usually works for the OOF back ground and not foreground.... Usually, try and keep the composition clean and you will be fine. Focus here is anyway on the expression.

Also, i am curious what he's smiling at...
