Setup: 80-200 + TC-20E (2X tele-convertor) + PN-11A (extension tube), mounted on a tripod.
Settings: ISO 400 f8, shutter ranges from 1/20 to 1/40 sec. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Nice dragonfly shots! But for most of them you had the focusing out. Should focus on the eyes instead. However, the background for all of them are good The 3rd pic is the best one among all!

Yes you're right, it's really hard to manually focus. There is no way to confirm until I get back home, but by then it's too late. Will try harder next time.

no offense, but i'm beginning to feel that dragonflies are kind of over-shot in this forum.

Nature Photography of Dragon and Damsel Fly
Fred, Perhaps you and Megaweb can do a bit more (a soft spot for such animal) write to: Hans Arentsen (hans@gardensafari.net) http://www.gardensafari.net/english/dragon_flies.htm He could be interested in your pictures. Can anyone give me some help: 1. Why is the animal be so easily photographed by so many nature photographers around the world? 2. How many species are there? 3. Do the animal lives in the water? 4. Do you believe the animal attacks even fish and frogs? 5. How long do the animal lives? 6. Anyone got pictures of their larvaes? __________________________________ Create a sound financial plan and investment strategy for your new found photographic passion. Avoid the new economy mistakes.
