Default Question on using external flash

Hi all, I'm back!

It had been a long time, sorry la, very busy, taking course somemore...

got some question to ask about using external flash.

1. what is 'bounce'? why do we do that?

2. If we're in a indoor exhibition (such as the Dream Car Asia) is it better to use the builtin flash on camera or external flash?

3. If external flash use on indoor activity, will it cause over exposure or will the camera auto adjust?

Lastly, wanted to buy external flash... but wanted to try out 1st so don want to spent much, anyone wants to sell?(for FZ10)

Thanks guys

bounce : flash aimed at celling, when it flashes, light bounces off the celling and hits the target.. looks more natural.
I'd guess external flash. Longer distance. if you use a diffuser, you can get softer light and light up the chicks better.
3) u haf to go manual to change it.. for me, i play around with aperture + shutter to control the flash coz I can't control my flashes... http://forum.clubsnap.com/showthread.php?t=140562
haf a look at the aperture and shutter speeds.
I used diffuser in all the photos, except i used bounce in the tent.

It is a bit loose when I bought it and after removing & inserting batteries,
it bacame more loose.
But with batt inside, it will be very tight.
Hope you happy with it..

No worries about that point. I used the same flash as you too and the batt cap was also loose. It doesn't affect anything.
