Broadband in Singapore, compare to city of similar size, demographic and social economic levels, is really in the stone age. Forget about 25 mbps or even 10 mbps, it's useless unless the website you are downloading from is phsycially located in Singapore. How many are there? Very few.
As long as the net is routed thru controlled servers, this problem will continue to exist. Nothing we can do about. Very sad for a country wanting to be cutting edge.

I don't know about cutting edge but one thing for sure is that it is cutting a hole in our wallets.
