Default Serious Security Issues on Samsung NX300

Serious security issues with Samsung's NX300 camera have been discovered. In short, the camera is completely unprotected and unsecured with regards to network and NFC functions. There's not even a basic attempt to secure the various network connections that the cameras offers.

As the second comment suggests, other Samsung cameras might work based on exactly the same insecure firmware.

Immediate measures should be to disable the entire network stack and NFC functions if and when not required. Network functions should only be activated and carefully configured when required.

Logically, once these serious issues have been discovered (and the underlying Linux basis) it doesn't take long till the system is rooted.
