Two shots to share from the Zheng He 600th Anniversary Celebrations outdoor performances taken on 3 July 2005 when I'm near Marina Promenade taking photos of the Singapore Dragon Boat Festival.

pic 2... lovely. nice orange background, excellent that U got eye contact, it's a performance and yet it looks like those ladies posed for you... lovely
pic 3... that lamp is in the way... the lady's face got a shadow otherwise it'll be a good pic.. |

Singapore is the anglicised version of the Singapura, which is the actual name. Singapura, if I'm not mistaken, is in Sanskrit, which means Lion City. So if Zheng He discovered the island it would not be called Chinapore but will be another name. I'm not too sure but this island could already be known as Singapura when Zheng He sailed passed it. |
