Curious how much you paid for the camera...is it cheaper at Mustapha?
Anyway, so far, I have bought a Hoya UV filter to protect the lens (I bought from CP for $13 but I heard they cost $10 at MS).
Last night I also bought a +4 Macro filter (nice!) and a circular polarisation filter...heh heh. the macro filter really works but I need to use a tripod for very close up shots.

u were using what mode?
i intend to invest on a macro setup with nikon 6T

btw i wonder how all this works? if u can get the step up ring does that mean that any telephoto or macro lenses can be used???

not sure...I'm a newbie also..heh heh
all the filters I bought were 55mm, the size of my hood adapter.
if you want better performance, I suppose a macro lens will have to do. I paid only $17 for the macro filter lens....value for money.

bought the last black fz5 from mustafa - they only have silver left
the camera cost $715 w GST (can pay with credit card) or $680 w/o GST - came with bag and 256mb
wanted to buy from MS but they were out of stock.
MS quoted me $666 w/o GST, after GST + 2% credit card surcharge is $713.

this has been discussed previously.
let me recap, I did the same survey as you, read all the reviews, tried both cameras and went for the FZ5.

Why FZ5?
Leica Lens
Less Noisy images
Small and compact
Cheaper

Why S2?
VGA + stereo recording mode
Flip screen (plus or minus?)
accepts canon accessories
Longer exposure possible for astrophotography/night scene
Minus Points - Bulky, uses 4 AA batteries, noiser images at ISO 200 and above, $200 more!
