product shot lighting

I like to take some product shot using flash.

would like to use flash lighting from the side and back.

anyone know what kind of flash I need and those cable stuff to connect them? and where to buy them

btw I am using a Nikon D70

i took before using two sb800s with lightspheres, one on each side. behind i used this light thingum i made out of two FL tubes and a white acrylic sheet - used to use that for taking macro shots of citrus slices.

i believe there's a DIY tent idea floating around the internet as well, using an ikea laundry basket. will post if here if i manage to find it bookmarked...
