yo dude, innovative way to light up the 3 super metal 'babes', darkened distracting background in total opposite contrast to my car pics =)
mind sharin how U did it? Just spot meter on the bright areas?

As for the organic 'babes' pics... they're nice & sharp too. Somehow I like the framing in pic #1 such that her body is also slightly blurred so her face stands out in the pic. pic #3 looks a tad underexposed tho

Thanks for viewing.

Rev: Notice the spotlit effect in the car shots? I was using a remote flash with a stepped down aperture to create the lighting intended.

cungan: Equipment used were Nikkor 85 f1.4, 17-55 f2.8 and Tokina 12-24 f4 on a D70.

which photo you used tokina 12-24 F4 I want to buy the Nikon 12-24 but also see this lense, cheaper and is reviewed not bad compared to Nikon

nice!

for the MB GTR, you probably used a small aperture with a fast shutter speed with spot metering? 1/125 f16 iso100 (sunny 16)?

All the car shots were taken with the Tokina 12-24. Personally this is a purchase I most pleased with. It's centre sharpness wide open leaves nothing to be desired.

Not exactly, spot metering alone won't get you this shot. Basically, I created my own lighting for the shot using an off camera flash. Incidentally, this was taken with matrix metering..not that it matters since I'm using manual exposure.

Rev: Yep CLS is cool, but normally I work with SU-4 mode and manual power.
