The iPod photo name was phased out liao. No longer known as iPod photo. They're now all with colour screens except the mini.

    Current line-up:
    512 and 1G Shuffle
    4 and 6G mini
    20 and 60G iPod - colour
    20G U2 iPod - colour too!

just to add that with colors the battery life may be compromised.
Anyway, I rather wait for the mini to be in color.

Minis are still in greyscales, actually to me color no color no diff, because I never switch on the backlight and I don't carry the iPod/Mini by hand. I control it via the iPod remote switch entirely

The price is the enticing factor.

walau, any reasons why you own so many ipods? 1 for each day of the week? 1 ipod for your fave genre?

The bad thing is the the new 4G iPod Minis don't have power adaptor and requires FireWire/USB 2.0 to charge. Can be quite daunting for people who pass their iPod Minis to friends to transfer songs if they have no PCs of their own.

They'll need to purchase the power adaptor seperately, and the total cost will come back to the same of the 3G.

Should just wait till ipods that play quicktime videos become available

We can already watch quicktime clips on the new itunes. It should be a piece of cake importing those into the ipod as well.

Quicktime could also come with an easy quicktime encoder, just like itunes. Then can encode our videos to quicktime, put them into ipod and watch on the ipod

    Now that would be awesome

and with the new Quicktime tech of H.264, soon we'd be able to get Hi-Def p*rn on the go! =X

anyway, ya la, i'd rather wait for a more substantial upgrade like increased battery life, video, even aesthetics (can it get even simpler?!) to the iPod line-up before even considering getting a new one. right now i'm still happy with my 1GB shuffle and "exclusive" OOP 4G 40GB
