    Default Looking for Job

    Hi all,

I am currently looking for a job. Been out of job for about 4 months.
And feeling really lousy because I am now living on 1 person salary, which is from my wife.

I am looking for HR related jobs. I was previously from a Telco company, doing training and recruitment.

If anyone of you has any 'lobang', can you pls let me know.

    My email address is kevyan@singnet.com.sg

    Thank you very much.

    Regards

    Kevin

    Okay, just a brief one.

I only have 3 GCE 'O' level. (Chinese, Science and Maths)
But I have a executive diploma in HRM from IBMEC (International Business and Management Education Centre). The dip. was awarded by Griffith University.

Expected Salary would be $1800. The lowest I can accept is $1650.

Job experience: Started working in a Telco in 2001, started out as telemarketer, given opportunities to move up to be a service auditor, trainer, and I did some projects and recruitment.

    Regards

    Kevin

I think u shld try and try. My wife went jobless for sometimes and she sent nearly 200 resumes before she gotton 1 job.

Don't give up. Finding jobs is just number games. the more resumes u sent, the more change u have.

    Keep sending!

Try list in all the usual jobsearch sites like www.jobsdb.com www.jobstreet.com.sg and www.monster.com.sg and also approach recruitment agencies like Kelly Services etc...

Job-searching is a tiring thing but dun worry too much about it. When the time is right, the right opp will come along.

I took almost 4 mths off after i resign to recharge and undertook 1 contract job for 1 mth (very good co.) and subsequently got a pemp job with abt 15% pay rise and better job prospects... The same could happen to you. Just rem to be proactive and think about what you want to do.

I find that this is the best thing for you to figure what you want in life/career etc..

    Take care.

Now that you have the time, think about what you would like to do and what can you do and where your interests lie. You may want to look at other career options. This could be a turning point for a career change.

And also talking to people and bouncing ideas from them. This might take part of the load off your mind.

Posting a thread here is a great idea. Keep actively spreading the words around that you are looking for a job. There might be some people who know a suitable opening for you.

You are fortunate that the wife is working. Be happy for her and you won't have the time to feel sorry for yourself.

Best of luck in your job search.
