buggy pc of software (at least for the PC version...), but color is more accurate for me than DPP.

    read:

Workflow is also nice and fast (when it doesn't crash) - lots of other ppl have got problems running it stably too as reported in their online forum.

Capture One doesn't crash on my PC too. And it has one of the best, if not the best white balance correction tool of any raw conversion software.

at the Phase One seminar over the last weekend, the local distributor presented comparison between Capture One and Nikon Capture 4. the results were in favour of Phase One. whether it was factual, i do not know.

so far, from the responses here, it seems a favourite amongst their users. but, how much is it?

    they promoted PhotoRescue. at $89.00.

I have compared the results between the 2 and to me C1 wins by a mile. Colors and details noticeably better and the software also more user friendly, at least to me.

Was using the trial version though.... anyone know where to buy a full box version and how much it cost? Don't wanna buy online leh...

    If u're using canon,
output quality only, EVU is better than DPP is better than C1 is better than ACR.

to me C1pro's output quality is better in terms of color and more importantly it offers more image control parameters than ACR plug-in.
