Default FZ20 LCD display question.

Hi, is there a may to increase the brightness display of the FZ20 on the LCD at night?

My friend just bought an FZ20. When using M mode, the display has very low light sensitivity which make composition difficult. (E.g. Composition when viewing the westin hotel from the esplanade front entrance at night).

However the display is bright and the subject shows well on the LCD when switched to P mode. The pics taken is fine, however.

I am using the FZ5 and it does not have this problem.

Thanks.

It's seems to me that in the M mode, the shutter speed was set to too fast..so everything dark dark...

We were using F8.0, 6 secs, 'M' mode. It is dark during composition on the LCD only, not the final pic. With the LCD too dark, we cant see much when we want to compose the pic, ie the display is very dim when we move the camera showing the not-so-distant subject on the LCD. The display on the LCD only becomes bright when in 'P' mode.

My FZ5 LCD is very bright though and does not suffer from the symptoms, using the same settings as the FZ20.

I think it's normal cos normally i'll compose the picture on P mode then change to M mode to take the picture. Me not good in explaining this so i'll let the pros do that for you
