Default Sigma 18-250 mm dcm Macro Lens

Hi I am planning to buy this lense as my next investment for aps-c dslr. I have one 50mm 1.8g prime and 18-55mm kit lense.
Is it a wise decision to buy this lense?
Feedback on the lense is much appreciated.

Read the lens' review and judge for yourself. You are the best authority.
250mm = 375mm on crop sensor. If you want longer reach for sports or wildlife
you can consider but do note it's rather on the shorter end of telephotos.
Do more research of your needs or requirements.

U r correct on the focal length part.

TS.. If u r planning to go into birding or wildlife, but not on a frequent basis, maybe u can consider renting lenses. Tele lenses are damn ex.

It depends on your needs per say. I've recommended this lens to my peers based on their requirements. It's a value for money lens and the current rebates by Sigma makes it better.

What do you want to achieve? One lens fits all purposes? Define needs and purpose, think about how many times you will use a certain focal length. Define your budget.
There is a reason why DSLR have so many different lenses. In the interest of image quality it is better to use two or more lenses instead of one lens for all occasions. Read the reviews, compare the results at different focal length with lenses like 55-200/55-250. Compare prices.
