Hey guys, national day is coming already...anyone has any preperations or know of any news of anything special on that day? other then the fireworks? guess we can organise ourselves to go in a group to shoot.

COUNTDOWN PARTY AND CONCERTS-BY-THE-BAY 05

Countdown Party
A National Day Countdown Party will be organised on the night of 8th August 05. This will be a big party in which our Prime Minister will officiate. To augment the glow of this party, popular artistes will be invited to draw in the crowd with a targeted audience of 40,000. The Singapore Chinese Orchestra and fireworks will also feature in this party.
Concerts by the Bay 05
This will be a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see local and international celebrities for free! Concerts by the Bay 05 will feature a mega series of concerts featuring 40 international and local artistes. Concerts with different themes will be organised throughout the carnival to cater to different audiences.

i managed to catch a shot of the bomb burst profile by the F-16s,
managed to get into the 1st combined rehersal on sat!!!

thanks, lucky the sky was rather blue that day!!! if not sure wont turn out that nice.

a lot of pple turn up at the padang, i tried my luck and managed to get into the parade area and they even gave me a grand stand seat!!! hee hee hee

alrighty! thanks for the info newbiegrapher. erm think the first event to go for would be the fireworks festival on the 6th August will be the one...opening of the carnival. ao guess alot of photographers will be there. so lumix people wanna group together for this one or in another event? concert by the bay 05?

I had the opportunity to actually zoom in at x48 (optical + digital) to a guy who's beret dropped off..heh heh but I think not so nice to show it online...
such things do happen but hopefully not on the actual day.

I am free on that day but what time the fireworks start?

yeah...part of the NDP support committees...supposed to let us get a feel on how the actual day would look so we can do our jobs...heh heh..front row seats too...:-)

likely not going for the next one ..will probably go on the final rehearsal before the preview as I am there to look for props and such for the post ndp events..
