Hope you like it
One of the hundreds trying to kill me. Not a good shot due to poor DOF and BG. Still trying to achieve Megaweb's mozzie standard ![]() In the past, they seems very hard to find but yesterday seems to be a peak season. One of my fav but I didn't like the burnt mark on the body. Try to clone it away but not nice. ![]() ![]() |

i like them all
. pretty hard to avoid burnt marks when shooting shiny creatures, not unless you want to do away with the flash. but then, the shutter speed needs to be lower and bugs (or our hands) do not stay still for longer shutter periods (sigh!). |

Thanks damithc. Glad you like them
Yeah... burnt mark is a headache issue. Unless with very good light condition, I believe flash is a must... for my setup me at least. Other than low shutter speed, soft pict is another issue. Anyway, not all cases of burnt mark is cause by the flash. Sometimes, it's cause by the sun. Casting a shadow over the subject will 'settle' the problem ![]() |

Nice shots Melvyn! Your fav insect looks like the one I took recently....do you know it?
Fav is your spider shot. Regarding Flash burn out, me also face similar problems.....
