Default AMK Park Hover fly series

Was at AMK west park today, as was near there after dropping of my kid. Took some time to take some pics there.

Saw this hoverfly, quite large about 2-3 cm. Find it very colourful.

Appreciate any comments!

Flash a little harsh, but pics are sharp and nice, with details.

Agree for the first pic, but it was the nicest of the others I took where it was too underexposed....somehow, I like the colours that it brought out!

Thanks Besh!
At first did not think it as a hover fly cos of the size until I saw it hovering....and close look on the head, it looks like the smaller types!
