    Default Which lens is better?

    Hi Guru:

Getting a 35mm compact camera for my niece birthday. I had decided on either the Yashica Zoomate 115mm or Olympus mju II 80mm.

Which compact camera gives a better image quality? Sharper picture? Yashica or Olympus?

Please don't ask me to get the high end Carl Zeiss, Contax or Leica camera, it's over my budget. Thanks.

The 35mm f/2.8 prime lens of the mju II will be much sharper and has much better low light capability (due to the fast lens). No comparison here.

The other point you must note is that layman value zoom range much more than sharp picture, esp b4 they get back their picture.
