Areas of Aesthetics
Once you master the basic aesthetics of dragon and butterflies it is time to move on. Well done Corvette, for the pleasing colours of red, yellow and green. Look at other areas for inspiration and try to find life in everything that cross your path. Can you find aesthetics in a common object like a pencil? Life will be cold at the bottomless pit without an eye for interest in common things and everyday objects. Try a little closer such as the body or the eyes of the dragonfly. Your approach should be an image or an angle that had never been taken before by any photographer. Think about this. What make people excited about music, dance, make-up, fountain pens, automobiles and fashion shows? Aesthetics! _____________________________________ The spiritual is the reason we strive, the reason we live. We can have lives with a thousand times the fulfilment, compared to the norm we know, if we work for it. - Eolake Stobblchouse ![]() |

Hi Corvette, your photos should be under the Macro and Closed Up Section, I'll move it there.

Appreciation is the opening of the character of
the willing and learning photographer. More pointers for those who are willing to make progress and changes: 1) Be on the lookout for new methods of seeing with your eyes 2) Keep on reading any photographic materials that you can lay your hands on 3) Be thinking all the time, especially before you click the shutter 4) Be a first class research person 5) Cultivate the attitude of analysing the results with an open mind 6) Keep producing good results consistently. Progressively increase your research database. As you make progress day by day, check if you are passionated about what you are doing to your subject _____________________________________ Keep asking questions, and provide opportunities for challenges. Try to redefine the social and the aesthetic boundaries of the visual arts. Try to investigate and discover the most recent developments in Contemporary Art. ![]() Last edited by forward; 27th September 2002 at 11:55 AM. |
