Megapower batteries for 828?

I read in one of the forums that someone uses oem megapower batteries for the sony 828. I am not too sure cause I though only original Sony infolithum can be used as other oem brands will not charge or work on the 828 as long as the camera detects it is not infolithium. Any clues?

You are right to say that batteries without infolithium MAY not charge correctly due to the lack of information on the battery charge indication.

Having said that, Megapower OEM batteries for F828 do have infolithium capability. In other words, it works exactly like the original Sony battery. You can see the remaining battery time while using as well as while charging.

I have one and it works well. But not sure if you can still find it since F828 is quite a dated model. Cheers!
