Don't really into macro now, so not using any macro filter.
But I am planning to get the Nikon 6T may be next month.

I read in the previous posts of people here who bought abc-branded flashes for less than $50. you can do a search for "flashes" here...

    Hi fellas,
Had been buying a few photo magazines and readin up on filters.
I already have a UV filter. Is it worth it to buy a circ polariser?
I had one for my old camera and didn't look that much different.
Would like to hear your views and experience with this.

What other filters do you own or use. which are the most useful?
    cheers

cp is useful to reduce reflections...etc. you must try it somehow and you will know when to use it.
what other filters? the infra filter!

i read that the HOYA IR filter is gd enough but its 72mm thread size if i not wrong, i would need to get a step up adapter ring.

would using a larger lens or filters create side effects like distortions?

Can check with CP to see if they have the thread size needed by you.

    Cheers

    Fz5 users...
Hoya sells the full range of 55mm filters.
So far I have bought (all 55 mm) :
    1. UV filter
    2. Circ Polariser filter
    3. Macro +4 filter.

Only item I have yet to buy is an Olympus WCON08....do let me know if you have one for sale. I talked to the MS Color guy yesterday and seems he has a WCON cum Macro lens for only $60 but warned me it will give a fish eye effect...so I decided to pass as he had no stock then and I did not have my camera with me to try. Anyone has experience with other makes of WCON that are cheap and good?

    cheers

ok...was at the shop opp the foodcourt in Sim Lim Square and they sell telephone straps. I bought one for $1 and it fits the FZ5 to a T. You can choose a long one ($1.50 to $2) or the short one ($1). The short one may be too small for huge hands as even me need a slight nudge to get it into my hand but now with this strap, I will not be hampered by the shoulder strap when I remove the camera from my lowepro bag...
