If you take care of your equipment then i don't see a need to. Not cheap for the AppleCare. If you want to sell it off next time, you might have to sell it off at a higher price because your APpleCare is tagged to the product which you hold.

AB: I take good care definitely, but just wondering if it's a good idea to purchase for sake of piece of mind?

AppleCare can only come into effect within a certain period of time after you purchase the item IIRC.

FOr me i won't buy it, unless i not i am going to utilise till the max until the parts break down easily lor. If you buy it and during the AppleCare period nothing happens to it, the money would have gone down the drain. It's like an investment without any returns.

I was looking to keep my Book for 3 years at least, like what I did with my laptop before selling it off. Just wondering do Apple parts break that easily? If they don't the warranty is of course not worth the purchase
