Anyway, Cp4500 give you great macro but it doesn't give you much in working distant. You will need to approach the bugs to a very near then the ratio is big but a 105 macro lens say fo rexample can gain you some I believe but you can loan from someone mah, dun buy dun buy, get a loan set from A***... Of course, when we talk about macro here. It shouldn't limit only to bugs, insects or flora.... There are many many many.... 12-24.... Though you can shoot landscape everyday but not shooting with 12-24 everytime mah... Will find it sian looking at all the distraction from a super WA... hahaha Last edited by sumball; 22nd June 2005 at 10:26 AM. |

I've done pretty well without a dedicated macro lens, although I wish I had one. Mostly taken with my 70-200, or 24-70. Butterflies and flowers too.

i'll get a macro lens instead anyway for still life macro (incl. flowers) i'll prolly just use my CP4500, pretty reliable, can take macro 'with wide angle' also. unless i decided to start shooting ants and stuff nice gallery you have there btw.

Yeah which is why I'm considering the EF-100 macro USM...more working distance when I need it.
Thanks for the compliments~ |

Eikin, get yourself a ext tube and try it out on your kit lens before getting any macro lenses.
This will help cutting down your min. focus distant. |
