Non-IR shooters are welcome to join us as well.

For those interested in IR but not willing / no chance to get a IR filter yet.
Let us know....we have spare IR filters to share.

The Cokin P007 give good enough results.

With the filter attached on the lens you can see vaguely through the viewfinder for composition and framing. But with the Hoya R72, cannot as it is completely opague.

Using the P007 with the p adapter tend to give a problem. As the adapter is mounted on the filter ring of the lens and the P007 slot into the adapter. As there is a gap between the filter and the lens, depending on the angle of the sun , you may get flare in you pic.

Most of us using the P007 do not use the p adapter, but just hold the filter by hand over the lens to shoot. This will eliminate the flare as there is no gap between the filter and the lens.

Results of course.

Using the P007 may be a bit troublesome without the p adapter, it's still ok.

At S$37/- for the P007 filter alone, it's a relatively cheap and easy start.

Don't know if you can get one now as they seem to be out of stock in most shops.
