Played with the camera at Funan Canon Centre couple of days back. The cam suffered from the same problem the S1 had when it was just launched, ie the frame freeze briefly when the shutter is half pressed. Hopefully Canon can fix the problem with the release of a firmware upgrade. Other than that the cam perform well as compare with other makes of the same class. Oh! One more thing. Thought the auto-focus speed is a great improvement over S1, it is still not as fast as compare to Pa....... F... (matter of individual preference?)

eh... this is common among most (if not all) PnS & prosumers. if u want instant shutter release upon pressing, u are talking abt a DSLR.

Hi Guys

Is it true that I can buy the lens converter and add on any other additional lens or is it just for the wide angle and telephoto that can be purchased seperately for this model?

Also, any good starters tripod to recommend?

Additional things to add, I'm in love with the 0cm Marco capability this camera has.

Thanks =)

suppose so. there are 3rd-party lens adaptors/add-on if the originals are too expensive. kenko seems to be a pretty popular choice.

i wonder if there's a macro-reverse ring, similar to the ones available for the A-series. megaweb did a write up on it some time ago.

Ophs! I think I did not state it clearly... the EVF freeze briefly when the shutter is half pressed. Hope that Canon can do something about it.

Thanks Bro!

Thats a very nice gesture from ya =)

The fruit photo is taken using a macro and the flower photo is taken from my window using the 12x optical zoom at 1m away.

Btw, why do I not see my own image now and instead the "Image hosted by CS"?

Thanks!
