Any one here can remember who he was, besides as a pratising cardiologist in private sector?

It's like parading a huge fried chicken thigh in front thong of hungry people.

I thought this house has been there for a long time already? I remember seeing it being constructed back in 1990 in the stretch of road behind the Esso kiosk. Or has the owner changed hands?

I am impressed. 53 year old with a 5 month old new born. But then raising a kid is not an issue for the rich.

I was impressed when i saw that in the article, his youngest plays the grand piano

But words of wisdom from him:

That will depend on whether you want real marble or something that only looks like marble... There difference is not only the weight.

If his money is legally earned without overly charging patients, his spending it on a house is his own business. With such wealth it would be good if he did some charity. At least he minds his own business and does not let money go to his head to make insulting statements on social media like the wannabee-rich idiot Anton Casey (who thought he was rich).

He is a genius, world reknown and at the top of his profession. Do a search on his achievements. And at 53, he would have been a top cardiologist , heart surgeon for 20 over years.

Lots of kids start learning piano from 3 onwards. I have no idea what a grand piano is. I only attended *** kindergarden when I was 5 yo.

... He's a private doctor probably. Which means he can charge as much as the market is willing to pay for his services.

well, you would be impressed if his 5-month old kid was playing it

i only started on computer games at 4, Tennis at 5 and Golf and Swimming at 7.

    damn. i'm a late bloomer

The home, which also comes with an attic and basement, is definitely big enough for the 53-year-old Dr Lim, his wife, Wendy Huang, the centre's CEO, and their five children, aged from five months to 25 years old.

Fully agree with this. While we are not advocating flooding the market with doctors, we don't need to protect this profession. Who knows there are many good ones that were not given the opportunity. Government is relaxing but need to speed up.

do you mean he ended up the top of his profession at the age of 33?

Either way, he should have no problem with competing with all the FT doctors right?

Government should try to import more doctors lah. Don't give the "quality" argument.... Singapore is such a small country... if you do any hiring, you will know that the talent supply available overseas far outstrips the demand singapore can generate.

Talk about high medical costs... this is the problem.
